星期日於中國網絡上瘋傳一個訊息，指NBA球星76人後衛列迪克（JJ Redick）拍賀年片時涉及辱華，引來軒然大波，最終他要透過社交網站致歉。
話說早前一條NBA球星向華人的拜年片段當中，JJ Redick指：「I just wanna wish all the NBA chink fans of China very Happy Chinese New Year！」而其中「chink」就被指辱華，引來中國球迷不滿。一名擅長英語的中國網絡紅人「馬克Malik」更拍片，闡述列迪克的錯處，有關片段更被瘋傳。
面對中國球迷的指控，JJ Redick先在 Twitter回應，指表示自己當時舌頭打結，並強調自己喜歡和尊重中國的朋友。
之後JJ Redick再次回應，向受到冒犯的中國球迷致歉，並指當時說的那個單詞，並不不在他的詞彙中。
