同場的美國副總統萬斯，直指澤連斯基在美國傳媒面前同特朗普辯論，是不尊重的行為。澤連斯基反問萬斯，是否曾到烏克蘭了解情況。
特朗普之後在社交網站發文，指「我不想要利益，我想要和平」，並怒轟澤連斯基不尊重美國，指他如果準備好實現和平，可以再到白宮。
