美國總統特朗普又在個人 Twitter 貼文，表示要對付北韓，就只有一種有效方法，不過他就沒有提及有關方法是甚麼。
特朗普續指，美方與北韓談判了25年，雖曾簽過協議，亦動用過一大筆錢，然而卻沒有作用，簽署協議的墨水未乾就被破壞，是愚弄美方的談判代表。
早前特朗普首次在聯合國大會發言，狠批金正恩政權發展核武，更揚言不惜「徹底摧毀」北韓。他之前又指，現在是暴風雨前的平靜，令人揣測美軍將有所行動。
