美國總統特朗普於社交網站報喜，指早前被北韓囚禁的3名美國公民已經獲釋。
特朗普又透露，3人目前與國務卿蓬佩奧一起乘坐專機回國，並指3人健康狀況看來不錯。專機已降落日本橫田美軍基地，之後再飛往安德魯斯空軍基地時，特朗普將會親自迎接。
特朗普又表示，已經定出與北韓最高領導人金正恩會面的日期與地點，但就未有透露詳情。
白宮隨後亦發表聲明，指特朗普歡迎金正恩釋放3人，認為這是積極善意的姿態。
