商業電台過去多次成為極權扼殺新聞自由的劊子手，由10年前封殺毓民、大班兩大名嘴，到今天無故辭退李慧玲，商台一直站在極權的一邊，打壓監察政府的聲音。我們譴責商台打壓言論自由，因此，我們要以行動，呼籲所有廣告商立即抽起商台廣告，不再助紂為虐，成為極權的幫兇。

《熱血時報》呼籲各讀者，以電郵形式，勸戒商業電台的廣告客戶，立即抽起商台廣告。以下為中英文版的電郵範本及商台廣告客戶的電郵地址，希望各讀者立即行動，斷商台米路，保言論自由！

自97以來，受着北方而來的政治壓力，香港人的言論自由、新聞自由一直被收緊，當中商台更多次成為極權扼殺新聞自由的劊子手。商台封殺時事節目主持，早於2004年開始，毓民、大班兩大名嘴接連被封咪，以至近日無故辭退李慧玲，商台已經不折不扣的成為了打壓言論自由的象徵，更讓香港瀰漫着政治打壓的白色恐怖。

得悉　貴公司是商台的廣告客戶，每月向商台奉上真金白銀，此舉誠如助紂為虐，讓這個漸失民心的商台得以繼續營運。繼續讓商台播出　貴公司的廣告，亦即代表了　貴公司支持這個帶頭打壓言論自由的媒體，這將會嚴重影響　貴公司的形象，損害　貴公司的商譽。

在這個言論自由日漸被收緊的時代，　貴公司也應負上社會責任，向商台這個打壓言論自由的象徵說不。望　貴公司三思，回頭是岸，抽起　貴公司在商台所購買的廣告，切勿成為極權的幫兇。

Dear Sir/Madam,

The handover of Hong Kong to Chinese rule in 1997 has marked the beginning of the erosion of free speech and press in this city, as a result of the mounting political pressure from the Communist Party. Commercial Radio Hong Kong (CRHK), one of the most popular radio stations with a long history of broadcasting in Hong Kong, has actively participated in the effort to silence dissent and suppress media freedom. In 2004, CRHK fired Albert Cheng and Raymond Wong Yuk-Man, two of the most outspoken critics of the Hong Kong and Chinese governments. It was widely speculated at the time that their removal was a result of CRHK yielding to political pressure in exchange for a renewal of its license. Recently, CRHK repeated this act by firing another program host, Ms. Li Wei Ling. To most Hongkongers, CRHK is an unethical broadcasting company with no integrity or media accountability as it fails to uphold its duty to safeguard Hong Kong people’s basic civil liberties.

I understand that your company is a client of CRHK and regularly places advertisements in its radio programs. By advertising your products on CRHK’s platform, your company is financially supporting the operation of a radio station that has lost its credibility and trust from the public. Your continued financial support to CRHK means that your company is siding with a radio station that has taken the lead in destroying freedom of speech and press, two core values that Hong Kong people hold dear. Any further association with this radio station will ruin your company’s reputation in the minds of the Hong Kong people, as you may have helped restrict freedom and perpetuate injustice in Hong Kong through your business relationship with CRHK.

The purpose of advertisement is to promote your products, not to alienate your customers. Your company’s goodwill has taken decades to build, but can be easily destroyed by a simple act of doing business with another company that angers the public and violates Hong Kong citizens’ fundamental rights. In this day and age where corporate social responsibility is essential to the success of a company, I urge you to pull the plug on any sponsorship or advertisements you have placed with CRHK. This will show your potential customers that your company is siding with the people of Hong Kong, and refuses to become an accomplice to any act of oppression of freedom.
