當中美關係近日再次轉差之際，美國近日爆發的反警暴示威，就成為了親共人士的抽水話題。
《環球時報》總編胡錫進於社交網站貼文，聲稱高度懷疑香港暴亂分子已經滲透到美國各州。
胡錫進表示，攻擊警署、搗亂商店、堵路、破壞公共設施，都是抗爭中的例行活動。他認為兇殘的香港暴徒，顯然是全美抗爭的策劃者。
