北韓今早（5月4日）發射數枚型號不詳的短程飛行物，飛行距離約70至200公里。
於北韓試射之後，美國總統特朗普首度在Twitter貼文，指在這個非常有趣的世界中，任何事情都有可能，他相信金正恩完全意識到北韓巨大經濟潛力，並且不會干涉或結束它。
特朗普又表示：「金正恩也知道我和他在一起，並且不想違背他對我的承諾。」特朗普又預告交易將會發生。
南韓國家情報院則認為，北韓發射的飛行物飛行高度不高、射程不長，不是導彈。國情院又指出，北韓試射飛行物與早前河內峰會破裂有關。
